items based on the attributes of a set of items and what they have in common
with each other.

objects into categories
(e.g., shapes, foods) to gain a sense of the concepts the
categories represent.

7. Does a teddy bear belong in the toy category or the food
category?
Assessment: The use of the internet helped give them
understanding of how to sort and categorize things. To assess the students I
will do a group activity with them that involves physically sorting different
items into four different category boxes.
